"There is a place where cerebral and corporeal meet - they call it rowing."
~ Barry Struass, B.A. Cornell, Ph. D. Yale, Cornell professor, historian and author.
Welcome to Montgomery Boat Club (MBC). We are a co-ed, competitive juniors rowing club in Montgomery County, Maryland. Our members are, or have been, from Winston Churchill High School, Academy of the Holy Cross, The Bullis School, St. Andrew’s Episcopal, The Heights, The Lab School, Wootton High School, Stone Ridge Academy, and St. Anselm’s Abbey School. We welcome students from public, private, and home high schools in the greater Washington, D.C. area who have no opportunity within their own school to join a co-ed rowing club. We offer athletes the opportunity to race for MBC as well as represent their own school at regattas. Our goal is to teach high school students the art of rowing, the reward of discipline and hard work, and the satisfaction of victory.
