"There is a place where cerebral and corporeal meet - they call it rowing."
~ Barry Struass, B.A. Cornell, Ph. D. Yale, Cornell professor, historian and author.
Welcome to Montgomery Boat Club (MBC). We are a co-ed, competitive juniors rowing club in Montgomery County, Maryland. We partner with Churchill Crew but our members are not just from Winston Churchill High School. They are from Bullis, St. Andrew’s Episcopal, The Heights, The Lab School, Wootton, Stone Ridge, and St. Anselm’s. We welcome students from other public and private high schools in the greater Washington, D.C. area and not just Montgomery County, who have no opportunity within their own school to join a co-ed rowing club. We offer them the opportunity to race for MBC as well as represent their own school. Our goal is to teach high school students the art of rowing, the reward of discipline and hard work, and the satisfaction of victory.

In Philadelphia at the National Scholastic Rowing Association Championship the Churchill boys Freshmen 4+ grabbed the Silver medal by just over a second. For the U17 4+ in the US Rowing Challenge, our Montgomery Boat Club boys also took the Silver medal by less than a second!
